Lunar James was founded in 2018 by Arianne Wijdeveld as a sustainable jewellery and art brand with an objective to reconnect with ancient and more artisan ways of living. With a pervasive focus on practices to reduce the brand’s carbon footprint, Ari uses only recycled metals and incorporates natural materials as much as possible.

At Pearls & Pomegranates, we love Lunar James's designs as they are an ode to nature's beauty. They're inspired by the sea and astronomy, which come to life in the organic shapes, textures and colours that are characteristic of the brand's designs.

Lunar James was founded as a sustainable jewellery and art brand with an objective to reconnect with ancient and more artisan ways of living.

The jeweller

When her baby boy was born during the height of the full moon in 2018, Dutch-born but London-based Arianne Wijdeveld felt strengthened to pursue a calling that she had felt for almost 10 years. In 2010, she travelled through South America, learning how to coexist with the natural world, how to share, and how to create art and jewellery in a way that connects organic materials with the inorganic. Having been forever changed by this experience, when baby James was born, the love Ari felt filled her with strength and she was propelled to pursue a long-held passion: designing and creating jewellery.
