Recycled sterling silver 18ct yellow gold vermeil plated

Everyday hoop earrings with a difference; handmade, chunky, sculptural, huggie hoops. These earrings were designed to be bold but functional. Inspired by organic shapes and natural forms, the original master was carved from local beeswax and cast directly into metal. The resultant earrings are fluid, natural and feel as if they have been carved straight from the earth.

Sustainably handmade in London, UK, by Frances Kirk, the Crescent Beeswax chunky hoop earrings are available in recycled sterling silver and 18ct yellow gold vermeil plated.

The brand

Born from a dream to create an environmentally-aware independent jewellery brand that promote slow fashion and conscious buying, Frances Kirk doesn't pretend to make perfect, mass-produced jewellery. Instead, Annie Niekirk, the brand's founder, embraces the handcrafted charm of each lovingly-made jewellery design she personally brings to life in her South London studio.

"Nothing here is made with trends in mind, but with creative and versatile forms that can be worn for decades without going out of style," says Annie. "I really believe jewellery is something to be treasured; Frances Kirk was started to make modern heirlooms."

The jeweller

Frances Kirk jewellery designs are for lovers of craft, tracers of history, and believers in beauty over perfection. Annie founded Frances Kirk in 2020 after completing a BA in Fine Art and an MA in History of Art and her designs are influenced by modernist history.
